Hero Father Jordan Stannard Hit By Out-Of-Control Truck at Los Angeles Parking Lot Near Venice Boulevard and Abbot Kinney Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (July 2, 2026) – A father identified as Jordan Stannard lost his foot in a Los Angeles car accident at a grocery store near Venice Boulevard and Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Los Angeles County officials are saying that the accident occurred a couple of weekends ago. Jordan Stannard was leaving a grocery store with his two-year-old daughter Sadie.
The pair were getting into their vehicle when a truck came speeding towards them before hitting a Mercedes SUV. Jordan Stannard was able to push his daughter out of the way.
He was subsequently hit by a truck which caused severe damage to his leg. The victim was transported to the UCLA Medical Center.

In an act that undoubtedly saved his daughter’s life, he was able to move Sadie out of harm’s way before the impact. Although he reacted quickly, he was unable to avoid being hit himself.”
